All in the Family
05/01/2005 - By Jeffrey Moser

Living in Colts Neck visits the home of Dr. Giulio and Beth Caruso, a home at once grand in its presentation and welcoming in its warm details.

A Jim Gary sculpture guards the front door like a sentry at the home of Dr. Giulio and Beth Caruso.  Set at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac, the six-acre property boasts the largest jungle gym I have ever seen in anyone's backyard, to the sheer delight of their three children.  The 10,000 square-foot home includes a finished 3,200-square-foot basement complete with a home theater, gym, sauna, steam room, wine cellar, and children's play area.  It may qualify as one of the coolest hangouts for kids and adults alike.  What I notice right away is that the Caruso home is user-friendly.  The kids have their run of the place, and the overall decor is one of beauty that does not flaunt itself.  The house almost embraces you in its warmth.  It is true that God is in the details.  It's abundantly clear that the Carusos are a close-init unit whose extended family is always welcome.
