Golf Instruction for Trump National Golf Club Colts Neck
COLTS NECK, N.J., March 5, 2009. Trump National Golf Club Colts Neck, a proud member of the world’s finest portfolio of golf courses and family country clubs, is pleased to appoint 15-year PGA Tour Professional, Bill Britton, as Director of Golf Instruction. Mr. Britton’s instruction techniques, maximized by the Club’s spectacular practice and instructional facilities, combine for an outstanding experience unique to Trump National.

A native of Staten Island, NY, Bill Britton’s extensive experience and expertise as a PGA Professional, first class golf instructor and prominent club fitter will benefit the members and guests of Trump National Golf Club Colts Neck. Exceptional instructional programs and one-on-one sessions will be designed specifically to meet the needs of the Club’s men, women and youth.

About Bill Britton
Mr. Britton was the youngest Publinx golfer to win the Metropolitan Amateur two times running in 1974 and 1975. His winning streak continued with a victory at the 1975 National Junior College Championship. Shortly after graduating from the University of Florida in 1979, he won the Met Open, and in June 1980, he earned his PGA Tour card.
Bill Britton’s fifteen years on the PGA tour boast a variety of impressive accomplishments, including winning the 1989 Centel Classic and four second place finishes. In 1990 Bill finished in the top 10 in two major championships, finishing 7th in the 1990 Masters and 4th in the 1990 PGA Championship. He was also named the 2002 NJPGA Player of the Year and 2006 NJPGA "Senior Player of the Year."
During Bill's playing career, he worked with many of golf's best instructors, including eight years with Jim McLean, a former PGA National Teacher of the Year. Since leaving the PGA Tour in 1996, Bill has taught golf at numerous facilities, been a Co-Head Professional and in 2005 became a Master Instructor at the Jim McLean Golf School at Doral. He also recently owned and operated the Bill Britton Golf School in Tinton Falls, NJ.
An accomplished author, Bill has published instructional articles in leading golf media outlets such as The Met Golfer, New Jersey Golfer and Sports Illustrated. He was also elected to the PGA Tour Advisory Council four times. Special recognitions include his 2004 selection by Titelist as one of their eleven Prominent Club Fitters in the U.S. He was also named the NJPGA Teacher of the Year in 2008.
Currently a New Jersey resident with his wife Isabelle and their four children, Bill is a Class A member of the PGA of America and a lifetime member of the PGA Tour.
