The home of Marilyn and Vincent Stesner is one filled with art, and the grounds abound with flowers. Gena Lande's tour reveals Mrs. Stesner' love of all things house and home.

Marilyn Stesner loves to decorate, and redecorate.  In fact, her home is constantly in a state of change.  This is the way she likes it.  Marilyn said, "Decorating is a hobby for me, I am constantly in a state of decorating and redecorating."

Marilyn and her husband Vincent have lived in their home for seven years.  She has witnessed the transformation of Marlboro from rural suburbia to the bustling town it is today.

With 4000 square feet of space set over an acre of land, the house is a gardener's paradise.  Marilyn has planted a vast selection of flowers in her backyard and the landscape is constantly "in bloom."  I even sampled a freshly ripened blueberry from the blueberry bush which she planted.

The Stesners love to entertain, and their home is often filled with their children and grandchildren.  With four bedrooms there is plenty of room for family or guests to spend the night.  They have four children and six grandchildren, who are mostly local and the layout of the house is conducive to "keeping an eye on the kids."

The color scheme in the house is mostly monochromatic, filled with cre'mes and neutral colors.  The artwork is intensified against this neutral backgrodrop.  The general style of the home is done in the country French which lends a charming "homey" feel to the space.

The library is toned down and provides respite from a busy day for Vincent.  He is a CPA and is the President of Stesner Associates, a local accounting firm based in Marlboro.
