Overview:

Since 1964, Atlantic Medical Imaging has provided the most advanced diagnostic imaging services. Our 32 board-certified, sub-specialty trained physicians have been educated at some of the most prestigious universities and medical centers in the country  including such respected institutions as Yale, Stanford, Duke and Johns Hopkins. Our state-of-the-art technology is constantly updated to ensure we offer today's most advanced diagnostic equipment including the VCT 64 slice CT scanner, Digital Mammography, and the 3 Tesla MRI. From standard x-rays to the most complex procedures, our physicians get accurate results to your doctor - fast. Our skilled technologists and support staff are dedicated to providing you with unsurpassed service. We will ensure that your visit to our Wall Township office is as comfortable and relaxing as possible.

How does your facility stay current with new advances in your field?

We just don’t stay current; we exist on the leading edge. We do this by constantly updating our imaging equipment, imaging protocols and procedures, computer networks and programs, and offices. Nothing about our practice is stagnant - we are always looking for the ways to enhance our practice.

What might a patient feel stands out about your facility that would make them recommend you to family or friends?

From the first moment our patients walk into our office, they experience a radiology practice like no other. It begins with the reception area, which is large, comfortable, immaculate and beautifully appointed. The patient will be quickly and efficiently registered by our front desk staff and scanned by our expert technologists. In most cases, the exam report will be at the referring physician’s office in a couple of hours, if not sooner. If the case is a STAT, a finalized report will be generated before the patient leaves our office. If the patient or referring physician has any questions or concerns, the staff and physicians of AMI are only a quick phone call away.

What sets your practice apart from your competitors?

We live and breathe the core values of our group: Leading edge technology, clinical excellence, and outstanding patient care. Every part of our practice is designed to achieve these goals.

What would a referring physician say about your practice?

First and foremost, our referrers see us as professionals - fellow physicians and colleagues who are fully committed to caring for their patients. We take this responsibility very seriously, and to that end we have an open line of communication. We are available for our patients and their doctors - there is no place in our practice for the traditional “invisible radiologist”.

What was the motivating factor for the launch of your practice?

The Wall Township office is a small part of the larger practice of AMI, which is based in South Jersey. In planning this office, we did a detailed analysis across the state. More than anywhere else, we found Monmouth and Ocean counties to be relatively underserved with respect to advanced, multi-modality imaging under one roof. Look around - there is no facility like ours - ONE place where a patient has access to the state-of-the-art general X-ray, open and closed 3T MRI, 64 slice CT, PET/CT and nuclear imaging, digital  mammography, 4D ultrasound, digital fluoroscopy, and out-patient procedures such as breast and thyroid biopsies, myelograms, arthrograms, and barium studies.

Are there new programs your practice is offering to help with patients hurt by the economy?

We just wrapped up our free screening mammograms for the month of October (breast cancer awareness month) for women without insurance. We also have a program that provides free or reduced-fee Coronary CTA exams for patients at risk for heart disease.
