Dance Attitudes has been producing dancers since 1994. We opened our doors in a one-room storefront, then moved to Route 79 and had two dance rooms. Shortly after that we added a second floor, giving us three dance rooms. Finally, four years ago, we moved to a brand new 10,000 sq. ft. state of the art dance facility with six dance rooms - including televisions in our spacious lobby that display the children dancing. We have a dancewear store on-site for all of your dancing needs, and have now added a performing arts program, which includes drama and singing. The studio grows for our customers needs!
What do you feel sets you apart from your competition?
The teachers at our school make the difference and certainly set us apart from any of our competition. We are like one big family!
What kind of customer service philosophy do you have and would like to share with our readers?
Dance is about more than dance; it is about family, friends, life lessons and discipline. Dance is where you make your lifelong friends, so make sure you start off in the right place.
Why would a current customer tell a friend or family member they should take dance or drama at Dance Attitudes?
By incorporating a performing arts program (drama and singing) into our dance program, we are now creating well- rounded performers. One of our new slogans is “Become A Triple Threat At DA.” We have the best customers in the area. Our students are smart, well-adjusted, they learn time management, and gain confidence.
What makes your dance school stand out among others like yours?
Owners that care and have your child’s best interest at heart. Working with children can be difficult because it includes entire families. So we try our very best to be honest, fair and loving. It is our pleasure to have an open door policy with the parents, so that this is not just about dance, but constant life lessons.
What do you want a potential customer to know about Dance Attitudes?
The owners, Paige Sayegh and Shari Devora, have been dancing together since they were six-year-olds together in Miss Phyliss’s Dance studio on Flatlands Avenue in Brooklyn. They grew up dancing together and now own a dance business together! They try to be role models, and be involved in all of their students’ lives. Paige and Shari always say, "Dance is where you make your lifelong friends.” They are a perfect example of that philosophy.
Dance Attitudes classes for 2 to 18 years old include Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Lyrical, Pointe, Acrobatics, Hip Hop, and Boys Hip Hop. New classes include Mommy and Me, Drama Classes, Voice Lessons, and Adult Fitness like Zumba, etc. We have three fabulous levels to accommodate all dancers: 1) Recreational - for the dancer who wants to have fun as an extra curricular activity and keep fit; 2) Level 1 Team - For the dancer who is interested in more, but is satisfied with two days per week; and 3) A strict four-day a week program for the dancer who is serious about dance and interested in being competitive – our Level 2 team.
Dance Attitudes also offers awesome birthday parties, and we have great deals going on now to make the day even more special. The parties have special themes chosen by you and can accommodate many friends, boys and girls alike.
