Company Overview
At Grand Doors we combine craftsmanship and original design to create some of the finest doors available in the Tri-State area. From traditional to contemporary, classic elegance to Old World authenticity, we are the premier purveyors of architectural door s, moldings and hardware. Visit our magnificent state-of-the art Brooklyn showroom to find a door that fits the style you have in mind.
What was the motivating factor to launch your company?
We were originally part of a lumber yard. There we met many homeowners who wanted something more than the standard mass-manufactured stock door. There was no company that specialized in quality entry doors and custom doors, and so Grand Doors came to be.
What do you feel sets you apart from your competition?
We understand that the front door is the focal point of the home, and a distinctive door makes a lasting first impression. Every Grand Door is designed to be as durable as it is beautiful. Each Grand Doors Inc. creation is a masterpiece, crafted with pride and superlative workmanship. This process employs quality stains with a choice of colors, catalyzed sealers, sunscreens and coating for unmatched beauty. Then, fine hand-sanding is completed in four different steps for a noticeably smooth finish. Finally, detailed hand-rubbing, which occurs after the last finish coat, adds a satin feel to the finish. This meticulous process attests to our artisans' commitment to the quality of every Grand Design Door.
Why would a current customer tell a friend or family member they should use your services?
We offer a variety of exceptional wood quality and hand-forged iron doors, unsurpassed design selection, and impeccable installation. Our installers are master craftsmen who derive great pride in the quality of their work. All one has to do is walk by a home with an entry door by Grand Doors and they will want to know: “Where did you get this door?”
What aspect of your business most inspired you?
Instead of purchasing a new home or doing major construction, homeowners recognize that redoing their entry with a quality custom door really alters the face of their home. First impressions matter! Seeing how beautiful these homes look with their new doors is extremely satisfying. Like every work of art, a well-crafted door is an investment that will afford the purchaser many years of enjoyment.
