Overview of our professional services:

Great DateNow is the tri-state area’s largest privatematchmaking service, with offices throughout New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, and Philadelphia. We believe everyone deserves  the opportunity to make a love connection, and our teamof professional and certified matchmakers has a goal to provide our members with successful dating experiences.

What aspect of your profession most inspired you to take this direction?

Great DateNow was created out of the growing frustration with online dating, and with the idea that finding “the one” shouldn’t be a painful process. The number one thing we hear  from people who come to us is that they are sick of online dating and the singles’ scene. We present only introductions that we know will be of interest to our clients; we make  recommendations on where to go on your date, and take care of reservations. We also do some coaching…if needed. We do everything we can to make dating enjoyable, because it’s supposed to be fun!

How do you stay current with new advances in your field?

The great thing about matchmaking is that it is a time-honored tradition. Although the technological advancements have made dating an anonymous “point-and-click” game, the fact  remains that nothing beats the personal touch. Our dating recommendations are based on understanding our clients and, most importantly, finding out what they are or are not looking for. To stay current we advertise in new areas to attract different types of clients. Being the best in the business and the largest private matchmaking service in the area, we feel that we are  staying current with what singles are really looking for. We have three locations in New Jersey: Red Bank, Morristown, and Englewood Cliffs, and for those who want to meet people in the city, we have a location across from Grand Central Terminal.

What might a client feel stands out about your services that might make them recommend you to family and friends?

We know our clients well; here you are not a number. Not only do we meet each client in a one-on-one consultation, but we run routine background checks tomake sure that the information  we share is accurate, and that we are working only with people who have qualified as “great dates” and have potential for truly meaningful relationships. We also offer monthly dating tips on our website.

Is there anyone you’d like to meet whose history or actions has affected your professional life?

Every February when the decorations of Cupid go up in store windows, and I read all the greeting cards and love notes about getting hit with Cupid’s arrow, itmakesme think…now that’s a  guy with a tool we could use! If only it was that simple. I feel like we’ve been able to develop the next best thing. We may not have the magic bow and arrow, but we’ve put together more than 2,500 happy couples and we continue to grow. I guess that makes us modern-day Cupids.
