Dr. Steven A. Morgan is a Board Certified Obstetrician & Gynecologist who brings a new cutting edge and innovative surgical expertise to our area. Delicate surgical procedures of the female genitalia that were once taboo are now some of the most sought after aesthetic procedures in the country. Initially available only in major metropolitan cities throughout the world such as Beverly Hills, Hollywood, New York City, Rio de Janeiro, Paris, Milan and Rome, these techniques are now available here on the Jersey Shore.
What sets you and your practice apart from the competition?
Having been born and raised on the Jersey Shore into a family of obstetricians and gynecologists, I have had decades of experience and expertise which guide me and my patients into the 21st century. This starts by listening to the patient, understanding her needs and empowering them with knowledge. My philosophy of honesty and compassion is backed by the ability to recognize and care for the whole woman, not just a patient with a condition. I believe that it is essential to connect with the patient and meet their needs, desires and goals. That means engaging in highly personalized care as a partnership, giving her - the patient, the highest standard of care. By taking the time to listen to the patient and her unique needs, I can ensure that every patient will receive the level of care they expect. Giving the patient ample time to ask questions and hear explanations and alternative therapies, while speaking to the patient rather than at them. This allows the patient to develop a level of trust and confidence in their care. All women’s healthcare is not equal, and that is why I strive to offer today’s most advanced techniques and services. This type of care can only be provided through a boutique practice like mine that is composed of ONE physician.
How does your practice stay current with new advances in your field?
Our society today is very intelligent and savvy. With the resources available to the modern patient, such as the Internet, TV talk shows and commercials, patients come in more curious but also knowledgeable. It is my job to educate them further, much like teaching an intern in training. This empowers them to make a decision. I have spent several years in academia and continue to prepare myself and my patients to ensure that I am ahead of the curve when it comes to new and innovative treatments and therapies. My desire is to provide my patient with options that include the most minimally invasive therapy to treat their disorder at the same time confirming it is the most effective treatment. In conjunction with a private practice, I hold several professional appointments which include Clinical Assistant Professor, Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Sciences at UMDNJ-RWJ, Faculty Department OB/GYN at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Medical Director of the Nurse Midwifery Services at JSUMC, Medical Director at Ocean County Family Planning and Medical Director of the Laser Vaginal Rejuvenation Institute of the Jersey Shore. I take my privilege as a physician very seriously and dedicate myself 100% of the time every time.
