How big is the Male Ego? So big it needs two locations to contain it! Andrew and Sherri Pollina opened the Manalapan Male Ego Barber Spa in 2006. Two years later, in 2008, they gave it a brother in Middletown. Sibling rivalry ensued; they endowed the newer place with tanning treatments as well! But customers love them both equally, of course.
The spas offer everything for today’s gentleman, from a basic haircut to eyebrow shaping and everything in between. Try the traditional straight razor shave – an executive shave that includes exfoliation, pre-shave massage, and clay mask. They also offer hot towel service, color, waxing, manicures, pedicures – even massages are available! “It’s truly a unique, trendy experience that appeals to the upscale man. When it comes to men’s grooming, we are cutting edge,” says Sherri.
Male Ego’s goal is to bring back “old school” service in a relaxing atmosphere, and their experienced staff is there to cater to your every need. While you’re there, be sure to enjoy a complimentary beverage, play a game of billiards, or just sit back on the inviting leather couches and watch the 50-inch plasma TV. In fact, each individual station is equipped with its own television for your viewing pleasure.
The Barber Spa carries top brand products such as The Art of Shaving®, Redkin®, American Crew®, Paul Mitchell®, and more. Looking for that hard-to-find Fathers’ Day, birthday, or corporate gift for that special someone? Male Ego has gift cards available. Sherri and Andrew invite you to check out the website for spa package details and services available. Enter your e-mail address and you’ll receive promotional offers.
From the moment you enter these spas, you will truly begin your escape and enjoy an experience that will help you look and feel your best. Male Ego is not only good for the ego; it’s good for the soul. So check one out and get used to the finer things in life!
