Practice Overview:
Samra Plastic Surgery, staffed by board certified plastic surgeons Drs. Said A. Samra, Asaad H. Samra and Munjal P. Patel, offers patients aesthetic and reconstructive surgeries, including breast enhancements, body contouring, general and reconstructive surgeries, laser surgery, skin resurfacing, and face, head and neck surgery. Jeunesse Medical Spa offers clients aesthetician spa services, like facials and X-Treme® eyelash extensions, as well as fillers and laser treatments, including hair removal and vein therapy, which are performed by the same doctors from Samra Plastic Surgery.
How does your practice and facility stay current with new advances in your field?
There is constant change in the world of aesthetics; a plethora of new products and procedures are now available. Our plastic surgeons keep up-to-date by attending industry and specialty-specific national meetings as well as obtaining personal training on the latest products and procedures.
What might a patient feel stands out about your practice that would make them recommend you to family or friends?
Our practice prides itself on delivering knowledgeable, compassionate care to each and every one of our patients. We spend a lot of time with our patients to make sure that they understand the benefits and possible risks of surgery so that they feel comfortable with their decision. We view our patients as partners in the surgical journey, and together we strive to reach their goals.
Over the last five years have you seen a trend as to the types of procedures or treatments that people are seeking?
There has been a trend toward the minimally-invasive procedures such as Botox® and facial fillers. In general, people want to look “refreshed,” not different, and most can obtain that with injectable treatments. Sculptra® is an exciting filler that can replace the lost volume that occurs with aging. This product can give the effect of a “liquid facelift” when injected in key areas within the face. We have also seen an increase in liposuction, as the procedure can be done under local anesthesia. In our practice, we also offer our patients laser-assisted liposuction with SmartLipo Triplex™. This technology combines three different laser wavelengths to permanently remove fat and tighten skin.
Are their any surgeries you are specifically known for? What other areas are your “specialties”?
We provide all aspects of plastic surgery, including breast reconstruction using a patient’s own tissue (DIEP flap), skin cancer removal, hand surgery and cosmetic procedures. Specific areas of expertise are SmartLipo Triplex™ (laser- assisted liposuction), Fast Recovery Breast Augmentation, in which patients may return to daily activities within 24 hours, and the Bio-Met minimally invasive carpal tunnel release.
