Store Overview
Back ache? Feet hurt? Can’t sleep? Come to The Back Relief & Comfort Store.
We’ve been in the same location since 1984, helping people who are tired of hurting. We have extraordinary shoes, chairs, beds, pillows, cushions and tons of other items to help you feel comfortable.
We have a huge selection of shoes that address all sorts of foot issues, from flat feet to diabetes to plantar fasciitis. Our staff, led by a Certified Pedorthist, is specially trained.
Our Ekornes® recliners come in the softest leather and a wide variety of colors. Our Zero Gravity chairs are so humble they call themselves The Perfect Chair. And for people who need a little help getting out of a chair, we have wonderful products to get them up onto their feet.
We are also the only area store to have the Tempur-Pedic© Solution Bed - specifically designed for people who have back problems. We have other Tempur-Pedic© models as well. Need some lumbar support in the car or at work? Wedges to help your sleep? Some folks just come in for our wide selection of pillows.
We focus on what our customers need and do our best to help them.
What motivated the launch of our company?
Back aches and the search for comfortable shoes! What else? We learned that one of the keys to feeling good was a shoe with good arch support. So that’s what we stock. We looked for chairs that you could be comfortable in all day. We found those, too. For comfortable nights, people asked us for pillows. We’ve been responding to customers for 25 years.
What sets your company apart from your competition?
Customer service. Even though we are the only Comfort Store in the region, we take nothing for granted. We know many customers by name. We keep records of the shoes, chairs, and beds they buy as a service. If that pair of shoes you love have grown a little worn and you need to replace them, just call us. We’ll look you up and hook you up. Bought a chair for yourself, and your friend would like one, too? We’ll know the brand and style. These records are never sold or shared. They simply take the stress out of shopping.
Further, we attempt to ease the burden of those who may not be on their feet financially. We collect shoes for Soles4Souls, a nonprofit that distributes them to those in need. Drop off a pair at the store and get a coupon worth $10 off a new pair. And new, discontinued shoes are distributed to area nonprofits.
What would a referral say about your store?
People send their friends, colleagues and family members to us knowing they will be treated well and guided honestly. Area physicians send their patients to us confident that doctor’s orders will be followed.
Which industry leader would you like to meet, and why?
Since The Back Relief and Comfort Store is unique, there really isn’t an industry leader to meet! However, we’d like to talk with the people who lead Neiman Marcus because they set the standard in making sure the customer is satisfied.
