Company Overview: Since May 1998, The English Manor has grown into one of New Jersey’s exceptional banquet facility locations. With all its beauty and charm, The English Manor has established itself as a beautiful 12 acre estate in Ocean Township, New Jersey that specializes in a “one wedding at a time” environment. The English Manor is a place where you can celebrate “the most important day of your life” surrounded by friends and family as you enjoy the ambiance of an enchanting ballroom, superb cuisine and unsurpassed elegance with a personal touch.
What do you feel sets you apart from your competition?
Clearly our grounds and gardens are a strong feature that our competition envies. Our families have celebrated many outdoor wedding ceremonies in The English Manor’s secluded gardens. We also provide an option to enjoy a fabulous cocktail hour utilizing our outside grounds as well. Not only are our grounds envied, but also our Grand Ballroom provides a touch of class to anyone’s special occasion. It can accommodate the most intimate to the most lavish affair. As always, The English Manor staff provides exceptional service.
Are there any new trends or things you would point to that our readers should know about your facility?
Three new trends we have seen recently are customized cocktail stations, the incorporation of organic foods, and going green. Couples looking to achieve a “wow” factor with their guests have immensely enjoyed designing a customized gourmet station for their cocktail hour. At a recent wedding, the bride and groom added a Grilled Lobster Station to their outdoor cocktail hour. Although extravagant, this was an impressive start to their wedding, which was followed by an elegant four-course dinner. On a professional level, the new trend is to incorporate some healthier and more organic choices, such as whole-wheat pasta, into our menus.We’ve made a commitment to going green by using eco-friendly products and sticking to a strict recycling regimen.
What makes your catering facility stand out among others like yours?
We are very proud to be featured in Jayme Klock's article for The Knot magazine as “one of the top 10 prettiest places in New Jersey to wed and party under the sun and stars.” In addition, we are happy to have received five star ratings from both Wedding Wire and Project Wedding, websites you can feel free to peruse. Of course this makes all of us at The English Manor feel that our hard work is well regarded.
Is there an industry leader or someone inspirational you would like to meet and why?
Our couples have always been the inspiration behind The English Manor’s success. They have brought their visions to us and we have brought them to life. They also have embraced our ideas and designs, which have proven to be winners. We look forward to being inspired by many more brides and grooms to come.
