Fall Guide - Kids Activity
08/25/2011
Remember children love playing anywhere, so here are ways to pass the time—indoors or out!
Rainy Day Activities
Puddle Walk
Race around the house or yard—but only move by jumping from puddle to puddle! If there isn't a puddle near you, wait for one to form or go back. Don’t come in last, or you’ll be all wet!
Rainbow Bubbles
Squirt drops of food dye and dish soap into different puddles. Then let your kids blow into them through a straw and watch rainbows of bubbles burst into the air!
Count the Frogs
During a light rain shower, frogs usually emerge in a pond or stream. Head to the closest one, and see who can count the most frogs or tadpoles.
Rain Tag
Dodge the tagger and the drops. Whoever is “it” has to keep their hood down. This adds some extra incentive to avoid being tagged!
