The most exciting breakthrough in CT technology is available exclusively at Atlantic Medical Imaging in Wall Township.

50% Less Radiation for you. High-Quality Images for your doctor.

The CT scan (short for computed tomography) is one of the greatest advancements in modern medicine. CT scans enable radiologists to see inside  the human body to diagnose disease without invasive tests or surgery.

There has been alot of recent attention given to the radiation dose patients receive from medical imaging, especially CT scans. Atlantic Medical  Imaging (AMI) has been keenly aware of this and for decades has paid attention to it by optimizing CT scan techniques to minimize radiation dose.  While important to every patient, radiation dose reduction is especially important to children, patients requiring repeat CT scans, and cancer  patients, many of whom receive multiple CT scans to determine the effectiveness of their therapy.

This technology is named ASiR™ which stands for Adaptive Statistical Iterative Reconstruction. In essence, this is a massive upgrade in CT scan  technology. ASiR™ works by making better and more efficient use of the CT scan data that comes out of a patient’s body when they are scanned.  By using this data more effectively, this allows AMI to decrease by up to 50% the radiation exposure a patient receives. This radiation dose  reduction, combined with unprecedented image quality allows AMI’s radiologists to make an accurate diagnosis, faster and better.

AMI is a full service, freestanding imaging practice operating 6 offices throughout New Jersey. Our office is located at 2399 Highway 34 in  Manasquan, NJ. With 33 board-certified, sub-specialty trained radiologists and a staff of 350 technical, clerical and administrative personnel, AMI is  committed to providing the most innovative diagnostic imaging services to patients and referring physicians. In addition to CT scans, AMI offers a  full spectrum of imaging services including Coronary CTA, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, PET/CT, Digital Mammography, Breast MRI, Breast Ultrasound,  Breast Biopsies, Ultrasound, DEXA, General Radiology and Fluoroscopy.
