Residents of Kensington Court Assisted Living experience gracious living among a multitude of friends, both old and new. They reside in well-appointed studio and one bedroom apartments and most opt to bring their furniture and personal belongings from home. All residents receive daily bed making, trash removal, and towel service; weekly housekeeping; an emergency call pendant; and three, exquisite meals served in a beautiful dining room. Residents and their family members benefit from knowing that there are professional nurses on site 24 hours per day, 7 days per week in the event of an emergency. A well-educated staff of certified caregivers work diligently to respect the dignity and privacy of all residents while providing assistance with daily tasks such as bathing, dressing, and ambulating.
The Commons is a neighborhood dedicated to providing a safe and supportive environment to residents with significant memory impairment. These residents are served by an abundance of nurses and caregivers who receive regular training on meeting the ever changing needs of residents with memory impairment. They are supported by a wonderful activity staff, who are always working to improve the residents’ qualify of life through participation in life-enriching and enjoyable activity programs.
For individuals wishing to remain in their own homes but needing a supportive environment during the day, the Adult Day Club at Kensington Court might be just what the doctor ordered! Day Club members delight in the transportation that is offered to and from home; a hot and well-balanced breakfast and lunch; and an extensive activity program. In addition to having the assistance of a social worker at their fingertips, Day Club participants have the expertise of an on-site RN available to them when the Day Club is open. The RN is available to administer medications, handle medical emergencies that may arise, and coordinate medical services that a participant may need.
