www.mswaste.comIf you have trash, M&S Waste Services wants it! The Schito family has made “it” their business for more than 50 years. President of M&S, Mario Schito, Jr., says his grandfather, Hugo Schito, started the company in 1950 under the name M&S Disposal. Mario’s dad, Mario, Sr., took over the business in 1982 and changed the name to Schito Disposal. Mario, Jr., worked with his father from 1990 to 1999, until the business was sold to a large corporation in Florida. Although Mario had various jobs in between, he says, “Garbage is in my blood.” So, in October of 2000, he decided to start his own company called M&S Waste Services.
With only one truck, Schito began the operation by himself. “My first day, I started work at 8 am and was finished by 8:20 am…I only had 21 houses!” Today the venture’s operation includes 16 trucks, employs about 25 people, and hauls trash from a few thousand homes – and the business continues to grow; M&S currently has eight town contracts. Mario attributes the company’s success to the personalized service they offer. “If someone has a problem, we like to help them right there on the spot.”
Service is available for as little as $29 a month (plus tax and fuel surcharges), with a 95-gallon trash can provided to all M&S customers. Pickups are twice weekly, and residential, commercial, and roll-off services are all available. From apartment and condo complexes to senior developments, and even VIP backdoor service, M&S is committed to you.
Mario Schito, Jr., takes pride in his family’s “garbage” legacy. “I enjoy it,” he says. “I even work on the trucks myself. Whether it’s training or driving my own route, it helps to know what’s going on out in the field. That’s part of the reason why we can stand behind our superior service.”
