When Janice Rizzo opened the Countryside Café in April, she had one goal in mind: “To see people having a good time  enjoying the food and drinks I prepared.” With their wide selection of delicious breakfast, lunch, dessert and coffee bar items,  it’s safe to say that it has been a success so far. “I’ve always wanted to open a food place in my hometown, and it’s a pleasure to serve the community,” Rizzo says.

By serving all the classic breakfast items, and some of their own specialties, Countryside Café has the perfect foods to cater  to your taste buds. The Countryside French Toast offers a unique, delectable stuffing of chardonnay-poached apples infused  with cinnamon and nutmeg. For lunch, enjoy a variety of salads made from locally grown produce and homemade dressings,  or sandwiches and paninis with Boars Head-brand cold-cuts, or meats that are roasted in-house. The Countryside menu also  features vegetarian friendly options, including organic smoothies.

With an extensive selection of gourmet coffee drinks made from fresh-ground beans, WiFi access, seating for more than 40, and easy-listening background music, Countryside Café is also the perfect place to bring your computer and get some work done, or just relax, and surf the web. Don’t worry if you can’t visit during your lunch hour, they will deliver to your local  business!

Starting this school year, Countryside will also have a discount hour for students. “We’re going to have a promotion where  children can show their school ID, and receive a discount, such as half-price on a cup of coffee,” Rizzo says. “Acoustic  entertainment will be available one night during the week.” Currently, Countryside is only open for breakfast and lunch, but does take reservations for nighttime events. “We will open for private parties. Birthdays, showers, holiday parties, whatever  you would like, we can arrange for a catered dinner that serves just your party,” she says.

At Countryside Café, you will enjoy more than delicious meals, coffee, and desserts. The customer service is friendly, even  from Rizzo herself. “I’ll wait tables. I love people, and this is what I love to do.”
