One of only 10 board-certified orthopedic specialists in Monmouth County, David Bertone and db Orthopedic Physical Therapy, PC offer a unique set of clinical skills to assist patients recovering from injuries. He started his solo physical therapy practice in October 2008, giving consumers access to high-quality physical therapy in a professional environment, where they could see a board-certified orthopedic physical therapist and receive the best care possible.
The office features an exclusive fitness program called GRAVITY – a fitness program that utilizes a GTS machine choreographed to heart pumping music, and led by a certified instructor. This 45-minute class is for all fitness levels and accommodates four people at a time. Patients can also sign up for personalized fitness training, sports performance enhancement, and plyometric jump training.
Bertone was a partner in a multi-office multi-partner practice, with a large staff and high volume of patients, for 15 years, but he knew something else was out there. “I wanted to provide consumers with what they always wanted…the ability to have one therapist throughout their recovery and never having to work with unlicensed aides when paying for [professional] services…“ David has been practicing physical therapy for 21 years (16 years in Monmouth County).
db Orthopedic Physical Therapy provides access to a physical therapist for cost-effective, evidence-based rehabilitation; the emphasis is on treating the person, not the problem. “My philosophy is to educate the person about their condition and what it will take for them to regain function, return to their job or sport, or how to eliminate and control their pain,” says David, who runs the practice with the help of Katelyn Deselich, his administrative assistant (the pleasant voice on the phone that helps patients through insurance and private pay options). “This approach is emphasized during the initial evaluation – time dedicated to answering all their questions and incorporating their goals into a manageable plan for recovery.”
db Orthopedic Physical Therapy helps patients by using a personal and professional touch. That should already make you feel better.
