The Fireside Grill and Bar in Marlboro opened on September 2nd and it quickly became one of the premier places in Monmouth County to catch a game. Co-owners Salvatore Barbagallo, Orlando Rodriguez, Robert Woloshen, John, Joe and Pat Drum provide a dining experience where families and friends can gather for a comfortable, relaxed meal, or enjoy the perks of the best sports bar the county has to offer. “One half of our building is the sports bar where you can meet and watch any game. The other half is a casual dining room, but we kept the sports theme throughout. With 41 different TVs, no one misses any of the action no matter where they are eating,” General Manager Jon Barbely says.
When you enter the Fireside Bar and Grill and see the 30-foot mural of a baseball stadium, dugout benches in the waiting area, and various paintings of athletes on the way to your seat, you’ll realize that it isn’t just an ordinary sports bar. But don’t let the sports theme overwhelm you—once you open the menu you’ll see more than typical pub fare. “Our executive chef Fabian Barrios has done a great job putting together a menu that gives people what they want: variety. We have a casual atmosphere, but we don’t think that should limit our cuisine,” Barbely says. “We wanted to offer a diverse menu so people can eat buffalo wings, burgers, porterhouse steaks and cedar plank salmon at the same table. Everything is made in-house, and we take pride in offering a wide variety of fresh food.”
Fireside Grill and Bar has half-priced appetizers after 10 p.m., dinner specials every night, and drink specials five nights a week. Karaoke is held every Wednesday, and live DJs and entertainment are provided on the weekends. Since it opens for lunch at 11 a.m. Fireside Grill and Bar also makes for the perfect location to hold a company meeting, no matter how varied the employee’s tastes. “At Fireside we offer you a little bit of Americana. You name it, we have it,” Barbely says.
