Small plates have been a big trend at restaurants in recent years, allowing guests to sample a wide selection of great food and flavors. The most well know of these is tapas, which are normally associated with Spanish restaurants. Ganga Asian Bistro is going to change the way you think of tapas.
Starting this month, the pan-Asian restaurant will be offering tapas from the creative vision of owner/executive chef Jason Lin. Friends and family will be able to choose from signature items that cannot be found at other restaurants. Cold and hot selections will be offered and made at Ganga’s sushi bar. The new addition builds on the restaurant’s already terrific selection of items, featuring flavors from all over southeast Asia, including China, Japan, Vietnam, Malaysia, and India.
The regular menu will delight all your senses. The highlight for any seafood lover is the Tuna Amazing Roll, which has white tuna tempura, spicy tuna, and avocado topped with pepper tuna and drizzled with a mango sauce and roe. Then there is the always popular Ganga-style Duck Roll that combines roti prata (a fried flour-based pancake that is cooked over a flat grill), hoisin sauce and spicy remoulade in addition to the duck. This truly represents the pan-Asian experience you find at Ganga.
For dinner, owner Tan suggests Ishiyaki Stone Grill, a very traditional Japanese method of cooking food on a hot stone. “You can only usually find this at upscale restaurants,” says Tan, who opened Ganga last year. Guests can choose either chicken or filet mignon with this entree for a wonderful meal.
Ganga also offers a happy hour. Come in Monday-Friday from 4:30-7 p.m. and enjoy two-for-one drink specials. But why come in only for dinner? During lunch, you can grab a bento box or some sushi for a delicious alternative to the typical sandwich. Or you can bring the family for brunch on Saturday and Sunday from 1 – 4 p.m.
Whenever you choose to dine at Ganga, Tan wants only one thing for all his visitors: “I want guests to walk out happy with the food and the service.”
Hours: (Lunch) Monday-Friday: 11:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. (Dinner) Monday-Thursday: 4:30 p.m. - 10:00 p.m., Friday: 4:30 p.m. - 11:30 p.m., Saturday: 1:00 p.m. - 11:30 p.m., Sunday: 1:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.
