When thinking of art you may think painting and sculpting. But have you thought of interior design as an art form? Annie and Mark Hollingsworth have used a combined 25 years in home design to open JMH Home Design Consultants in January 2009. “It’s an art that we try to master,” says Annie. “We educate ourselves with the trends, systems, and the whats and hows that our clientele look for.”
Annie’s education in the interior design field and 25 years of retail [industry] experience has given her an understanding of construction, window treatments, installations, fashion; she keeps a hands-on approach to everything. Mark has been in the kitchen and bath industry for 15 years. It’s their experience that helps JMH standout from its competitors. “We understand that there are so many different businesses out there, and there is enough for everyone,” says Annie. “But other design companies do not have our background, our insight, and our willingness to make each project done right.”
Being creative and staying knowledgeable and current in the industry is truly a plus for Annie and Mark. They diversify for their clients and help with and exceed their clients’ expectations, even if it means accompanying them to the tile and granite manufacturers to help select a slab. They go the extra step to keep their clients happy, and instead of having to spend hours, Annie and Mark have the experience to find the right product, color, and style with ease and efficiency.
“Our philosophy is based on our beliefs in being professional with our clients,” says Annie. “They have taken the time to reach out to us. A majority of our client base is [by] referral, because we…make each project a priority. We strive to ensure our clients that completion comes with their satisfaction.” In the end it comes down to making clients feel comfortable. “What consumers want more than anything (in our experience) is respect. We hope we create a relationship that they can relate to and see results.”
