Jonathan Caputi is internationally recognized as a leading specialist in color correction and precision haircutting. He is one of the co-writers of the unique Premier hair cutting system used by more than 10,000 stylists internationally…and he’s right here in New Jersey.
At Jonathan Salon, clients will have an invigorating experience whether they are getting a styling or coloring. The salon is fully equipped with a makeup area, hair design floor, photo studio, lounge areas, color bar, and more. Jonathan and his stylists have created a spacious and inviting environment where you can come in and relax while enjoying a hot coffee, tea, espresso, or Pellegrino® water while watching DVD presentations or simply reading a newspaper or fashion magazine. You might even see Jonathan’s work in one of those magazines since he has been featured inW, Flare,Wedding Bells, Studio, and Salon Magazine.
In 2005, Jonathan opened the location with brown paper on the windows, two small stations, and an awning with the business name on it. Over the last 5 years the business has expanded, not only in space but in services and accomplishments. “We now have 16 people that work for us, our own hair product and makeup line, an in-house photography business, and in-house cutting education for our hairstylists,” says Jonathan, whose career began in Canada.
Jonathan’s technical skills as a stylist are matched by his photo-journalistic style of photography (he has been the artistic director and photographer at several designer fashion shows) and also by his ability to understand his clients‘ needs. His ability to translate runway to real way to fit the environment of the everyday lifestyle of the American woman is a gift he shares daily. Along with all this, he has a passion and desire to offer education (this winter) to stylists and hair industry people all over North America.
