www.rednj.comWith a stunning interior spread over two floors and its distinctive approach to New American cuisine, Red has become a favorite for Monmouth County diners with discriminating tastes. Chef Eric Manuelli, former executive chef at Michael Jordan’s Steakhouse, devised a menu of “classic dishes with a twist” that are beautifully presented and well matched to Red’s extensive wine menu. Begin the evening with a black bean casserole appetizer with chorizo sausage and aged cheddar served with toasted sourdough or perhaps duck spring rolls, paired with shiitake mushrooms, arugula and a sweet chili sauce. Nightly specials such as braised pork ribs, lobster arrabiatta, stuffed shrimp and ribs au poivre compliment regular menu items: red snapper with orzo salad and gazpacho sauce, penne with wild mushrooms and maple glazed pork with a roasted garlic compote. After dinner, retire to the upstairs lounge for live entertainment and some dessert or a cocktail from Red’s unique drink menu, all the while watching Red Bank’s street scene unfold below.
