Whether you have a car accident on the way to work or something goes wrong in the middle of the night, you would want your insurance agent available to you immediately. It’s no coincidence that Sal Sciallo has been one of State Farm’s leading agents in New Jersey. For 19 years, Sal has been accessible 24 hours a day, seven days a week. “The business of insurance is all about being there for people and I want my clients to realize that,” says Sal, who has been operating his own agency for 13 years. “Insurance is all about service. It’s not something you can touch, taste, or feel. Whenever there is a claim, it better be done right and quickly.”
Sal and his team like to meet clients in person and try to build relationships from day one. In his office, the licensed professionals with over 50 years combined insurance experience know their customers by name, and they treat their clients with individual attention. That makes the agency so accessible to the community.
While most people know State Farm as the largest carrier for homeowners and car insurance in the United States, Sal is also one of the company’s largest commercial producers for State Farm in New Jersey. Additionally, he offers financial services and bank products. He is a licensed notary public, too.
When first meeting with prospective clients, it’s important for Sal and his associates to know why they are reassessing their insurance needs and also who referred them to his office. He rewards current clients for sending new business his way with a thank you note and gift card. “We want to recognize the fact that we appreciate our clients appreciating us,” says Sal, who started with State Farm as an intern after graduating from Bowling Green University.
Sal not only gives his time to his customers but also to others in the community. He has raised money for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society since the day he opened his agency. He was recently recognized for his efforts over the last 13 years with a nomination from the Society for New Jersey Man of the Year honors.
State Farm’s slogan says, “Like a good neighbor, State Farm is there.” Sal Sciallo is an agent who lives up to that motto.
