Getting in shape is tough, and figuring out where to get it done is even tougher with so many gyms and fitness centers in the area. As one of the area’s newest, however, Studio V Mind, Body and Soul is taking a different approach to physical fitness. It’s not just a place to make your body stronger and more fit; here you can also enhance your mind and soul.
The fitness classes are just a small part of what owner Vicky DeRosa had in mind for her studio. She and her staff offer workshops and seminars on everything from positive thinking and nutritious cooking to sports psychology and therapies for children with special needs. There’s a nutritionist, chiropractor, and a psychologist on site who all work to help you achieve “total wellness.“
“I feel the people who select Studio V as a place to work out and become healthier are looking for more than just a place to work out,” says manager Micki Woolley. “Everything from the decor to the equipment, and especially the team of instructors, contribute to the overall feeling of comfort and elegance. That, combined with Vicky and her genuine interest in each person and their overall well-being, makes everyone feel at home, happy, and wanting to be healthier.”
Studio V is open 7 days a week, with more than a dozen day and night classes; members can book classes online. These physical sessions are accompanied by a wide selection of seminars and workshops focused on improving the mind and soul. An added amenity is a boutique filled with natural and organic items.
Studio V’s philosophy for success is simple – always be positive. “Nothing nourishes a dream, a business, a relationship, anything, as completely as staying positive. Negativity is success’s worst enemy,” says Micki. The staff makes members feel at home and appreciated because at Studio V a member is not just a number, but a friend whose life the staff tries make better.
