Victor Kuo, owner of Temple Gourmet Chinese Restaurant, invites you to experience gourmet Chinese specialties in a fine dining atmosphere of casual elegance in the heart of Red Bank. “We are proud to serve the Monmouth County area with gourmet Chinese food made from the freshest ingredients,” he observes with well-founded pride. Designed by the internationally known Alvarez & Brock Design firm in New York City, Temple Gourmet opened in January this year and has garnered customer and critical acclaim ever since. “The heart and soul of our restaurant is our principle of using premium food products, delivering service excellence while providing an inspirational atmosphere,” Kuo says. “We have a strict quality standard that is uncompromising.”
At Temple Gourmet, Executive Chef Johnny Ho is always seeking new and unique taste sensations to tempt your palate. Some signature dishes are Peking Duck, Imperial Temple (1¼ lb lobster prepared in a ginger scallion sauce with stir-fried tender filet mignon in garlic sauce), a 2½ lb Whole Red Snapper, Grand Marnier Prawns, and a 24oz Aged Black Angus NY Strip Steak that has been compared to Peter Luger’s. “We take pride in our international experience,” Kuo explains. “We use flavors from all over Asia to achieve the perfect taste.”
Kuo is very satisfied with his decision to locate his restaurant in Red Bank. Since he grew up in Holmdel he was familiar with the area and saw a demand for premium Chinese food that he knew he could meet. “We are ecstatic about being here,” he says.
They are BYOB, but they also have a relationship with a local wine cellar that will deliver your choice of alcoholic beverage right to your table. They serve lunch and dinner every weekday, and offer takeout with curbside pickup. The restaurant is also available for private parties and is an ideal location for your next affair.
Victor Kuo and his staff are delighted to welcome you to dine at Temple Gourmet, but if you’re planning a visit for dinner on a weekend, better call for reservations - (732) 212-8858.
