The Atrium at Navesink Harbor
40 Riverside Avenue
Red Bank, NJ 07701

The area’s newest independent luxury retirement community is about to rise on the banks of the Navesink River in Red Bank. Destined to become a new residential hub, The Atrium at Navesink Harbor will be a 60-unit tower adjoining an existing tower that is  under renovation, resulting in a 216,370-square-foot luxury residence, featuring a 15,000-square-foot riverfront garden with extensive landscaping, outdoor seating areas, a putting green, and docking for the community’s Rover III pontoon boat. Construction of  The Atrium at Navesink Harbor is scheduled to be completed in January 2011.

“PHS Senior Living envisions The Atrium…as a flagship community, bringing together the best of our 90 years of experience in retirement housing throughout New Jersey,” says PHS President and CEO Gary T. Puma. “Our active, independent residents will be  full participants in the many activities that the city and its surrounding area have to offer.”

Future residents in the new tower may choose from one- or two-bedroom units. Each residence will feature plentiful closet space, large bathrooms, and state-of-the-art amenities, like high-quality stainless steel appliances and granite counter tops (with optional  upgrades). A library, billiards room, card rooms, and fitness/wellness centers, as well as on-site concierge services like valet parking, laundry and dry cleaning, banking, barber and beauty salon/day spa, and an extensive security and emergency-response  system are just some of the many amenities featured. Residents and their guests will enjoy gourmet dining at the Windows on the Navesink restaurant and snacks and casual dining at The Atrium Café.

“We’re in a completely unique position,” says PHS Executive Director James A. Antonucci, Jr., who is overseeing both the new construction and the renovation. “Our residents are a fully integrated, active part of the greater Red Bank community. It’s a new way of  thinking about what retirement should be.”

A leader in high-quality senior housing and services, PHS Senior Living is New Jersey’s largest not-for-profit corporation, serving more than 4,500 residents in 25 communities.
