All of the needs for the unique hobby of beading are available at The Birds and the Beads. For 15 years patrons have been shopping here for an all-encompassing array of beads from around the world. Beading isn’t just for creating elegant jewelry, it has also crossed over to other arenas and has become popular in crocheting and knitting. Entering the store for the first time, you will be amazed at New Jersey’s best selection of supplies: beads of all shapes, sizes, and colors, stringing materials, books, tools, and anything else the beader may need. For advanced hobbyists, amethyst, opal, and jade rocks, as well as Italian glass, Peruvian opals, and freshwater pearls are available. They also stock Swarovski crystals. In a large display case beautiful earrings, necklaces, bracelets, and other jewels show how these tiny beads and stones can be combined to make exquisite jewelry. You can learn how to create all of these pieces in many of the classes that the store offers. Classes are for the beginner to the most advanced beaders, and are held several days a week. Check the website - thebirdsandthebeads.com - for a schedule of upcoming classes.
