With its mission of “Pride in Caring,” Raritan Bay Medical Center provides central New Jersey with a hospital often regarded as one of themost innovative hospitals in the state. The center, with locations in Old Bridge and Perth Amboy, is a community care location offering a variety of services, including general, medical/surgical, pediatric and obstetric care, 24-hour emergency care, and many outpatient services.Originally dedicated as Perth Amboy City Hospital on May 2, 1902, and expanded to include the Old Bridge location on January 2, 1979, Raritan Bay Medical Center has a history of innovation. It was the site of New Jersey’s first successful rechargeable pacemaker implant in 1974, and, in 1988, was the location for the first laser knee surgery in the state. The hospital now boasts a medical staff of 450 members and a professional nursing and service staff of 1,750 at its two campuses.

Raritan Bay is part of the 2% of hospitals that have received the National Magnet Award for Nursing Excellence. The center prides itself in developing and offering the best in health services for its patients, doctors, families, and communities, while committing itself to providing quality professional care and understanding in the ever-changing world of modern medicine.

In addition to the many services offered at the Old Bridge location, Raritan Bay also offers the Center for Sleep Medicine, which has been accredited by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine – an achievement only 25% of sleep centers in the United States have earned. All of the doctors have been board certified, ensuring all visitors will be well cared for. Despite the complexities associated with sleep studies, Raritan Bay offers quick turnaround of results (usually within a week) compared with other institutions that take much longer.

Raritan Bay Medical Center strives to be part of the community, offering local health education programs and services. Its staff of doctors, nurses, and support teams are dedicated to making sure your stay is a comfortable one, where treatment is given with care and kindness.
