It is important that you visit a showroom that is a division of a full line plumbing supply distributor, that is a direct distributor of the products displayed in the showroom.
The showroom should have a varied mix of style and design.
After a first visit to get a sense of the showroom, you should make an appointment with a design consultant. It is critical to have a block of time devoted to you.
During this meeting you can discuss renovation plans and develop a budget as you select specific products.
The meeting may require setting an appointment with an at home visit to get an idea of layout, design and other specifications.
The distributor should also have a qualified technical staff to interface with your contractor as selections are made, to assure proper product choice.
Don't be afraid to inquire about product availability and a delivery time line.
Other important questions to be asked are:
Can you tell me about the quality of the brand product I have selected?
What are the particulars in regard to the manufacturer or store warranty for the products and work completed?
All in all, make sure you work with a dealer/showroom who has a good reputation and one with whom you are comfortable with.
