Weigh In - “Table for two, please.”

With only one wish remaining, you think hard and finally ask the genie to grant one memorable night with someone very special over dinner...

Imagine that you are strolling down the street on your way to work or school, and come across a beautiful, shiny, gold lamp right in the middle of the sidewalk. Some might call it an  antique or piece of junk and quickly continue on their way. But a true “dreamer” would curiously stop and glance over this mysterious and possibly magical object. You happen to be one  of those fantasists and with little hesitation you pick up the lamp and brush your hand over its smooth surface. Suddenly the lamp begins to shake abruptly and out pops a genie! You stare in amazement (hoping no one around sees you actually talking to a genie!) and listen closely as he routinely explains the three wishes you will be granted. Your mind is racing with endless choices of what to ask for; after all, one doesn’t stumble over a magical lamp everyday! Overwhelmed with anxiety, you impatiently blurt out the first two answers that come to  mind and, before you know it, are standing in a mountainous pile of dollar bills and a lifetime supply of chocolate cake! (You didn’t exactly wish for world peace, now, did you?) With only one wish remaining, you think hard and finally ask the genie to grant one memorable night with someone very special over dinner. He nods his head and disappears into a cloud of smoke, leaving you at a small candlelit table in a quiet restaurant seated across from…..? The end is up to you!

Sounds like an easy choice to make, though the residents, when asked to choose someone - famous or not - they would desire to have dinner with, were puzzled to respond. A young woman wondered about the secrets of Martha Stewart’s flawless apple pie and figured a fancy dinner could get her to divulge the answer. A father of two expressed his bafflement over Donald Trump’s ability to wear his hair and knew sitting across a dinner table could solve the mystery! Still others who were perhaps less “starstruck” simply wished to spend an  unforgettable meal with a loved one or friend and share a joke or story one more time. LICN reveals these answers and challenges each of our readers to think of someone they’d like to have dinner with. (We strongly advise all readers to carefully consider before answering since you never know when a mysterious lamp could cross your path.)
